In what many will see as one of the most surprising verdicts in recent years, the footballer Steven Gerrard has been found not guilty of affray despite admitting punching a DJ in a night club after a night out with friends.

The Liverpool midfielder was celebrating with friends when he got into a fight with disk jockey Markus McGee over his choice of music. Apparently Gerrard had been told by management he could play any music he liked but was prevented from doing so by McGee. Shortly afterwards the pair came to blows with Gerrard striking out first; claiming self-defence as he thought that the DJ was going to hit him.

Many will see this as a lucky escape for the England and Liverpool player!!!

If anybody thought news about Michael Jackson was going to pass away anytime soon, new developments arise that will dash that particular hope. Indeed, it appears that MJ now has a fourth child.

Or wait. Since the latest claimant is 25 years old, wouldn’t that be his first?

In any case, the new face on the scene belongs to one Omer Bhatti, a 25-year-old Norwegian dancer, who claims he is the product of an alleged one-night stand between Jackson and his mother in 1984.

The speculation arose from the fact that Bhatti was given a front row seat at the memorial service, sitting with the other members of the Jackson family.

Bhatti is hardly a stranger to the family – he met Jackson for the first time in 1996, and has spent a fair share of time at Jackson’s Neverland ranch. Indeed, there are several pictures showing him with the other (definite) Jackson children.

Rumours and theories abound, although Bhatti himself is to undergo a DNA test in order to find out if he is really the superstar’s legitimate child. It remains to be seen what cat is let loose among the pigeons should the tests come out positive.

The question remains though – why on earth did Bhatti wait until now to raise his claim? Is this just some way to make a quick buck out of Jackson’s death, or are there some other, hidden reasons behind his decision.
